Man of Sorrows

Jul 22, 2026    Rabbi Jacob Rosenberg PhD

From July 18th: Isaiah 53:4says, “Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried.”  In Matthew 26, we watch one burden after another placed upon Yeshuat, the weight of redemptive history, being misunderstood, rejected love, covenant faithfulness toward failing disciples, the agony of Gethsemane, betrayal, abandonment, and denial.

Why did He willingly carry it all? Because He came to carry what we never could.
